Diocese of Osun (Anglican Communion) was inaugurated in August 3rd, 1987 with the Cathedral at Isale-aro, Osogbo, Osun, Nigeria.
To engage in soul winning, social and caring ministry in order to expand the kingdom of God on earth with a view to populating heaven and depopulating hell
The Diocesan Covenant seed started about twelve (12) years ago when it was approved at the Diocesan Synod held by the Lord Bishop of Osun Anglican Diocese Rt. Rev. Dr. J.A. Popoola.
Covenant Seed Scheme is to raise fund specifically for evangelism. The aim of the Scheme is to encourage every member to give at least N500 every month to the Diocese. The fund is strictly to be used for church planting, church growth and development, spirituality and evangelism in the Diocese. Because the Bishop has a listening ear and welcomes ideas from all sources, he accepted the scheme. The scope was of evangelism expanded to include other areas both within and outside Nigeria. Almost 90% of Churches in Osun Diocese have benefited in the money Collected.
Come now and let us reason together said the Lord; through your sin be as scarlet they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool if ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land. Isaiah 1:18-19.
